Teach CPR With Us
Teaching here gives experienced educators and healthcare professionals a concrete way to help their community. AHA instructors join The Original CPR Works of Wilmington as independent contractors (1099) on a pay-per-class model. We actively recruit instructors qualified to teach AHA BLS, Heartsaver and Stop the Bleed. You might teach around a clinical schedule, hold a weekly class on a steady rotation, or concentrate on group training onsite. Instructors whose availability varies can fit in.
The Instructors We Want
- Current certification as an AHA BLS Instructor: Or a willingness to finish the instructor course (and we can help locate one).
- Emergency or Clinical Background: Ideal backgrounds include respiratory therapists, NPs, PAs, physicians, firefighters, EMTs, paramedics, nurses, and similar roles.
- Solid Communication Skills: You can teach with confidence in a mixed room, from experienced clinicians to first-time parents.
- Being Reliable: Be on time and come prepared, ready for the class. Nothing else matters more than this.
What Instructors Receive
- Independent 1099 Contractor: A flexible, self-directed role with competitive pay per class.
- Scheduling Flexibility: Set teaching times beside family obligations or clinical shifts.
- Open Course Needs: Instructors for AHA BLS, Heartsaver and Stop the Bleed.
- Office Work Covered: Your attention stays on teaching because registration, payments, equipment, and AHA card issuance are handled on our side.
- Growth Paths: A path to grow into PALS and ACLS instruction.
